Dance Classes

Welcome to our dance program! Although we have been teaching Baton Twirling in the  Fraser Valley for some time, we are just in the beginning stages of growing our dance program and as such it is a Recreational program at this time.

All of our dance classes are well suited to beginner dancers, although if your child does have several years of dance experience our instructors will strive to challenge them so that they are also benefiting from each class and having fun at the same time,

This creative movement class is perfect for young children who still benefit from the support of their parent or caregiver in group settings. A great way to bond with your little one. Parents or caregivers participate actively in class as children learn basic dance steps and terminology through songs, stories, and play.

This class will build their self-confidence and nurture a love of movement. The end of semester showcase is optional for this class.

A high-energy creative movement class for our youngest dancers. Each week we will have a blast growing our dance skills by incorporating age appropriate music and games. Motor skills, strength and confidence will soar while gaining a dance foundation that will carry them into their school years. Movement and dance vocabulary will be primarily Ballet-based but may also include elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and Theatrical genres. Session will end with a performance at our year end recital.

A high-energy creative movement class for students in Kindergarten & Grade 1. Students will explore multiple styles of dance and creative movement, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop & Musical Theatre in this fast paced class.  We will grow our dance vocabulary by incorporating age appropriate music and games. Motor skills, strength, and confidence will soar while movement and dance are explored in a safe, supportive environment. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our end of semester showcase.

Have you been wanting to jump into dance but don't know where to start? Come and join us in Intro to Dance. Specially designed for kids who are slightly older and have less than 2 years of dance experience. These classes are fun and fast paced, they will help build foundational skills in an inclusive setting.

Our inclusive Tap dance classes are designed for children of all ages and skill levels. Tap dancing is a fun way to boost your confidence, improve coordination, and develop core strength along with a strong sense of rhythm. Tap dancing is not just a great workout, but also a class where every child can thrive and express their creativity. All Tap classes will learn a dynamic routine to perform at our year end recital. 

Acro dance is where tumbling and gymnastics skills come together in a fun and dynamic way. Students will progress through various skill levels, guided by achievement charts, and practice at designated stations throughout the studio. Students will also begin to explore the basics of Aerial Hammock Silks. They will learn spins, drops, inverts, and twists while dancing in the air and creating beautiful shapes. Every class will learn a special routine to showcase their talents at our end of semester showcase. Your child will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while having a blast!

Pom Pom Team is a type of dance that incorporates pom-poms into its routines. You will find that there is an emphasis on synchronization and visual effects in the choreography. Along with the use of pom-poms, you will find that this dance style incorporates elements of Jazz, Hip Hop, and even Kick Lines. Every class will learn a special routine to showcase their talents at our end of semester showcase and may have the option to perform at a sporting event or other community event. Your child will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while having a blast!

Get ready to groove in our beginner hip hop classes! Perfect for those eager to explore the world of Hip Hop, this class is designed to teach you the ins and outs of this vibrant dance style. From mastering multiple steps to learning different styles, we will guide you every step of the way. By the end of the semester, you'll be ready to showcase your newfound skills in a routine performed at our end of semester show. Come unleash your inner dancer in a fun and supportive environment!

Discover the magic of Musical Theatre dance in these classes geared towards all ages and levels! Perfect for anyone who loves Broadway or even a great Disney classic, we'll teach you basic dance techniques and choreography inspired by your favorite shows. Get ready to dance with props and even try your hand at lip-syncing (but no actual singing required!). Join us and let your inner performer shine on stage at our end of semester showcase!
